IN SICKNESS AND IN HEALTH....until death do us part!!!!

Ever so often a brilliantly written book comes along that makes an already good author GREAT. *Please Remember Me*, is that book. Author Jacob Z. Flores has cleverly crafted an EPIC lovestory that read like a classic. It is most definitely one of the best written books of 2015.
This magnificently scripted romance between two three dimensional, multifaceted men, were poignant yet hauntingly beautifully told. I will not give you a synopsis of the book, the author's descriptive blurb has done so eloquently. What I will tell you is, that Author Jacob Z. Flores has *reach the mountain top* and *pitched it out of the ballpark*, with this one.
I simply adored everything about this book. The writing was crisp, vivid and in TECHNICOLOR. This stellar author's storytelling was masterful, and I was given a bird's eye view into the relationship between the MCs. The MCs, Santi Herrera and Hank Burton shared undeniable chemistry and a love that stood the test of time. Santi Herrera was the consummate lover. He loved Hank unconditionally. He has demonstrated that he would go to the ends of the earth for his man. I was in awe of their love. I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown while reading this book. I laughed, cried and cursed throughout the entire book. I also had a few choice words for Mr. Flores for putting the boys through the ringer.
I was very impressed by the characterization of the MCs. I am happy that they were not stereotypical of *tops and bottoms*… I loved how expressive Hank was about his sexuality, by how he chose to dress. It showed how comfortable he was in his skin. I also loved, how confident Santi was in his. This emotionally charged book pulled on my heartstrings and I went through the gamut of emotions. The maelstrom that Santi and Hank experienced was harrowing. Thank God for the help of their friends. The secondary characters, Mitch, Jill, Darren Jesse and Mario were very colorful, and the best friends everyone should hope to have. The relationship amongst them was one of camaraderie. They were there for the good as well as the bad times.
My heart bled for Santi, although he was dealt a crappy hand in the game of love, he still had hope. I admired his conviction and determination to believe that there's a light at the end of the tunnel. This book is a testimony of true love with all its twists and turns, heartaches and heartfelt moments of BLISS, and of agony. Author Jacob Z. Flores, YOU have written a beautiful lovestory. It was funny, sexy and very sad. Your characters were well developed and the plot was relatable. The epilogue was EPIC.
WELL DONE........HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

When True Love strikes twice with the same person......Loved it

What a beautiful, but heart wrenching love story!!! Very realistic and characters which could take your heart and run with it. Santi was a lawyer who was a workaholic and had put his personal life on hold until his best friend, Jill, finally convinced him he needed to start taking time for himself and enjoy his life. They ended up going to San Diego for a few days and ended up going to a popular gay bar one night. Santi was not one to be the aggressor, but the moment he set foot in this bar he saw the most beautiful man, Hank, he had ever seen. He went right up to him, introduced himself, and the sparks exploded from there. They couldn't stay apart from each other until Santi had to go back to Houston, the reality that had engulfed him all along. Hank had his own Construction Company which kept in busy in San Diego. The two continued to see each other each weekend, either in Houston or in San Diego and they fell madly in love. Santi proposed marriage and a date had been set, then the unthinkable happened....a tragic accident, Hank fell from a construction site which resulted in a brain injury which caused him to lose his recent memory of the life he had with Santi. When he woke up from his 2 week coma, he didn't even know Santi....Santi was determined because of the strong love he had for this man that he would take care of him hopefully jarring those memories....The story was sad at moments, frustrating, but it was one of the struggles the two had to get through esp with the fact that Hank's last memory was his relationship with his first love. He felt he still loved him...This story was an emotional roller coaster. Always in tuned with Santi's feelings, and the confusion and frustration Hank was feeling. I cried when it looked like Santi was finally going to let go because he wanted Hank to be happy.....The story was incredible and well written and again Jacob putting his heart and soul into his writing. I highly recommend this novel!! You will be so happy you did!

A Heartbreakingly beautiful love story!

Santi Herrara and Hank Burton are drawn to each other from the first glance. They spend that first night together, and as many as possible thereafter which as not as easy as it seems, considering they live in different states. As their relationship grows, so does their commitment to each other and eventually, Hank relocates to Texas. They are building a solid foundation and planning a wedding until fate deals them a crushing blow.
Hank is injured on a job site and when he wakes in the hospital, he doesn’t recognize Santi. Hank has lost the last few years of his life, the years that are wrapped around his life now, in Texas with Santi. Through memories shared and stories told by Santi and their mutual friends, Hank tries to remember this life that is just out of reach. Slowly, painfully and patiently Santi gives Hank the time and distance he says he needs. And just when Santi thinks he might be breaking the surface of the fog that has settled over Hanks memories, the rug is snatched out from under him again.
How do you move past a life that is no longer yours when it’s all you think you know? How do you transition into a life with a stranger that wants nothing more from you than for you to remember him, the life and the love you shared, when everything about that life is foreign to you?
This book comes with a Kleenex and Vodka four alarm fire warning! While I’m not always a fan of insta-love stories, Santi and Hanks instant infatuation just worked for me. In the beginning, I thought it was the fact that I know the Author and his partner, and so many little tendencies and nuances reminded me of them in relation to who I thought they were in the story. But Flores did such a great job with character development and precise descriptives within the storyline as it progressed, that I was completely drawn in to Santi and Hanks lives.
Yeah, I’ll admit it, I was full on snot slinging crying at one point. I blew through a box of Kleenex and several vodka cranberries, but it was so worth it in the end when I was smiling through those tears. An emotional read that kept my attention from start to finish with three dimensional characters and a heartbreakingly beautiful storyline.
I’ve said this before, laughter through tears is my favorite emotion, and you will experience this in abundance while reading this book. It really reminded me a whole lot of the movie The Vow, with a different ending, an ending with that Flores flare. Definitely a must read though, especially for anyone that loves a good love story.
