Great User Friendly Book For Orthopedic Special Tests

This is a great book for Physical Therapists and Athletic Trainers. It is a book purely consisting of orthopedic special tests: name, starting position, ending position, and positive findings. Very straight-forward, and broken down in a very user friendly manner. Great book for prepping for you board exams.

Received the product rapidly but...

I received my book within a couple days, but the cover on the spiral bound book is placed incorrectly. The 'cover' is on upside down and in the rear of the book. Very annoying, and to fix the problem you have to take every page out of the spiral portion to get to the 'cover' to place it correctly. Other than that, I love the product.

I keep it on my desk in the clinic. As a PTA I dont normally perform the tests but need to be able to recreate if PT asked for it. keeping it around helps remember especially because there's so many shoulder tests.

About the Author
Drunvalo Melchizedek's life experience reads like an encyclopedia of breakthroughs in human endeavor. He studied physics and art at the University of California at Berkeley, but he personally feels that his most important education came after college. I am Chinese and this book complements Chinese Qi-gong practice and plus

I am from Hong Kong and I have studied Taoist Qi-gong for 4 years. One day I come across this book and I am just stunned.

The (two-volume) books are so packed with information that it seems to me like an "index". I am reading the book slowly. The Merkaba energy flow within the body described in the book are very similar to what we do in the Chinese Qi-Gong. For example,

1. One important Qi energy path is the heat / light energy going anti-clockwise upward spiral form along the spine, while another path is clockwise downward spiral moving downward along the spine.

2. Mr Melchizedek says Qi is dragged from nature, while Merkaba is from 4th dimension and he is correct. This is also true. In our practice we drag Qi from nature, sky, earth or trees, etc. We do not drag "4th dimension energy". Afterall we don't have a pyramid in Hong Kong.

3. Multiple Qi paths are running simultaneously in our body or what we called meridians. We have "water" imaginary energy path going UPWARD and "fire" energy path going DOWNWARD simultaneously (straight line) in the middle meridian (not spine). Before reading the book, I was always wondering why energy moving upward is far easier than moving downward--Because I am also a "left-brainer".

However the prana and breathing techniques are different. My understanding is that western way and Chinese way we are learning 2 different approaches to the same goal.

The flower of life geometry and origin of human story is completely new to me, but is fully complement to the Chinese Yin-Yang (i.e. "2") and then One (i.e. Tao or "1") then Zero "0" or void. This is simply amazing.

I was aware of a lot of things in these books but having the information condensed to one place is great. I had done research on Mr Melchizedek and I am very glad I decided to finally purchase and read both volumes of The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life. If your perspective on life doesn't change after reading these books then you may never wake up. I use the meditation practices in Volume 2 daily, I'm getting better every day. A must read for anyone trying to wake up and improve themselves and their spirit for the better. Please do yourself the favor and buy both volumes at the same time.

If your going to read this just know

This book leads to more questions but sets the reader on the right direction. I would recommend reading this when you don't have a lot of things going on currently in your life I would say the Tao of physics or science books should be read before this esoteric knowledge. Possibly an in depth journey through Egyptian life would be good before reading this as well. Knowledge on dmt helps make this book easier to believe, it has some far out concepts and may not be suited for very logical or practical people, people that intend on reading this book need to have a big immigration and try not to judge the material mentally

As a relatively new mosaicist, I own several hardcover books by the well-known international artists. This is becoming my favorite. I often go to it to revisit a certain technique, or mosaic for inspiration or review, just to find myself rereading whole sections. When you are working on a new project, the perspective with which you read changes to accomodate the current work. The data on the page is the same, but you synthesize it in a new way. Because there is so much depth to the design aspects in this book, its like reading a new book each time. If I had to pick just one of my current books, this would be it.

You can never have too many mosaic books!

Wow - this is an amazing book that explores colour, tone, texture and technique in sufficient detail with great photos to match. Excellent for inspiration and learning the finer points of the mosaic art but not really suited for beginners. It only loses a star because the format is not the easiest to follow even though it is well laid out, and at first glance, it doesn't appear to be a workbook. But mosaic afficienados should really include this book on their "must-have" list, if not for the photos alone. Definitely recommended.

"J.C.R. Licklider may well be one of the most influential people in the history of computer science. As Director of the Information Processing Techniques Office (IPTO), a division of the Pentagon's Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA), Licklider from 1963-64 put in place the funding priorities which would lead to the Internet, and the invention of the "mouse," "windows" and "hypertext." Together these elements comprise the foundation of our networked society, and it owes much of its existence to the man who held the purse-strings, and also created a management culture where graduate students were left to run a multi-million dollar research project."

"Further information on J.C.R. Licklider is available on-line from two excellent sources. The first is Netizens Netbook, by Rhonda Hauben and Michael Hauben.
