He is married with three children, and lives in Melbourne, Australia.

A directionless company has the direction of nowhere. "Understanding Strategy" is a discussion of business strategy from Geoffrey Chamberlain, a man with thirteen years of being a CEO at a major Australian company. Stating that having a vision, a strategy, and a plan to get where the company hopes to go is what can make or break both the best and worst companies, he offers much insight for one to give direction to their own companies. "Understanding Strategy" is a thoughtful take on business leadership, highly recommended.

A very interesting take on business strategy, based on case studies with CEOs and other business leaders. The notes are extensive and complete. The author did his homework and it really shows.

I would have liked to see more examples in various parts of the world, but it was still an enjoyable read.

This book explores the dynamic between business success and the strategy behind hit. A thoughtful, well-written examination of strategy in the workplace.

Do not purchase the kindle version!

Was foolish enough to get the kindle version of the textbook. Poor layout, omitted some of the nessasarry case briefs for my law class that were in the printed text, and had an overall scattered information base. The search tool was useless, and the table of contents were maladjudsted to the online setup. Will not be buying textbooks on any device in the future, and asking my professor to make the plain text mandatory.

This edition of "The Merck Index: An Encyclopedia of Chemicals, Drugs, & Biologicals" shows remarkable improvement over its predecessor.
Boasting of diverse groups of chemicals and pharmaceuticals, it is a success in its own right. There are just plenty to be explored! The book brims with accurate up-to-date information. Pharmacists, Medics, Chemists, Biologists, Physicists, Agriculturists, and many other professionals who work with elements, compounds and mixtures will find this book very useful. It is revised, and is complemented with detailed descriptions, which include molecular formulae, molecular weights, as well as the percentage compositions of constituent chemicals in a compound or mixture.
It is a valuable reference tool.

This book must be the most organized reference book I have ever used. Its so fulfilling to be able to find exactly what you're looking for when you need it. Includes a common name index, chemical formula index, as well as registry numbers, therapeutic categories for drugs, useful tables, and organic chemical equations. highly recommended!

There is no reason to buy a brand new edition of this manual, because the older editions have similar information, possibly different with regards to minor details of the measurements (.5 degrees melting point, etc). If you are looking for a Merck Index, buy used.

The poor live in squalor in the Drain and make do with the synthetic food that is available. Mayor Eva Eris keeps the denizens entertained with her Mega Monsters Mash Up, a reality show where mutant animals face off against each other in the arena. The reining champ is the Invincible, a hybrid tiger-scorpion who is true to his name. Castor, a German shepherd stray, becomes an unwilling member of Team Scratch after he is kidnapped by humans and redesigned with eagle wings and a new name, The Underdog. Castor had been content living with his dog pack and dreaming of the Greenplains, a natural wonderland. He does not want to become the killing monster his human handlers expect. With the help of a Chihuahua-spider mentor named Pookie, Castor looks to his inner strength to survive his ordeal and to win out against the machine that put him in this predicament. The story is at its best when it focuses on Castor's plight and those of the other animals in the arena. The momentum slows when the story shifts to the human characters Marcus and Leesa, who are less developed than their animal counterparts. Marcus is a "sky boy" who believed the animals were virtual. He instantly goes from devoted fan—"a Moniac"— to animal cruelty advocate when he discovers they're real. Leesa is working to get her dog Pookie back. Unnaturals

I read this book about eight times before I was totally satisfied. I thought that it was incredible how the author made the story a little dark, but not enouph to cause severe depression, as many authors do with stories like this. Then again, I havn't ever read a story quite like this one! The author also incorporated many different points of views, for the animals and the humans.
I think that out of all the animals Pookie's my favorite. He's so sweet, though at first I did think that he had some loose screws, but I couldn't help but love him.
I love how the author wove the desception and betrial into the story. I love how dark the story is, and I love how the author didn't averwhelm you with self pity from Castor, as many other authors would have done.
Anyway, all I really know is that I'm totally gonna try to find more books by Devon Hughes. Absolutely adored this book!!!!! :)
